I did lay it out on the ground to see what it looked like and it looks promising.Great but does stretch with timeThis is our 3rd purchase of this item. Not because they needed replacing, but because they're so versatile! We've started covering anywhere that has excessive sun to claim back the back yard. The only down side is that they do sag slightly with the 110 degree heat here. Just hang them a little higher and its fine.Tis was the 3rd sun sail we purchased for out deck. Took some advice from another reviewer, that said to get a sail smaller than your area, at least by 2 feet. The 14x18 was perfect, it doesn't cover the whole area perfectly, bit that's what happens with these, their shape isn't a perfect rectangle or square. We used a chain on all 4 corners to attach, used rope on the 1st try, but rope gives too much. The chain is perfect for adjusting the turnbuckles. We know it'll need tightening sfter some tome which is another good reason for using chains.It was a little bit hard to hang and it doesn't hold out the water but it is perfect for shadeLike how well it is made and very easy to install.This is a quality shade, made of great heavy duty material! I went through 3 $200 canopy pop up tents before I bought this $75 shade, and it had outlasted 50mph winds! Great uv/heat protection( I live in Vegas)You will need d rings and tensioner hooks to tighten.. I used airplane cable around the tree, concrete screws for brick wall.. and found the floor divider/ stud on the house with longer screws..The wind will destroy canopies.. this shade is legit!I put this up over my 33ft round above ground pool and it has helped cool down the water temperature! I used 6x6 posts and put a cable winch and pulley at each corner for easy removal. I also put 2 of the pulleys about 4 feet higher than the other 2 to help reduce wrinkles and give it a unique look. The cable that runs along the outside edge of the sail is well worth the price increase from the other ones without it.stitching is uneven and very poorly made, the length and wide is not the correct size, we ordered a 12x6 sun shade, turns out to be almost 13x7! instantly sagged, doesn't fit our build. will be returning it.
