Perfect set of glasses for every beer you can get, perfect gift for your beer loving friends.My husband’s favorite beer stein fell to its death So I got this group if steins. They are big and durable. He loves them.I was searching for a 20 ounce wheat beer glass, for traditional German Weissbiers. I could only find sets of two half-liter (16.9 ounce glasses) for around $30 or more. The problem with these is that if you buy a half-liter bottle of German wheat beer, you can't nearly pour the whole bottle in the glass, which eliminates the ability to get the yeast in the bottom of the glass into the beer. A German Weissbier, if poured correctly, with a round slice of lemon in the bottom of the glass, produces a great 1-2 inch head, which perpetuates itself because of the lemon stuck in the bottom of the glass.This set of well-made Libby glasses includes a 20 ounce German wheat beer glass, plus five other great glasses, all for the amazing price of $19.99. FOR SIX GLASSES! In addition to my perfect Weissbier glass, I have a great stemmed pilsner glass, a traditional pint glass, two other stemmed glasses, perfect for Stella or other quality beers, and another basic beer glass,This set is the bomb. And if you don't want it for yourself, buy it for any of your family or friend who enjoy quality beers (if they drink the swill know as Bud Light, don't even bother - they have no clue what a decent quality beer tastes like).Nice assortment of glasses, however, very fragile. The English pint tipped over in the sink while cleaning them fresh out of the box and shattered. Didn’t just crack or chip, the entire top of the glass just shattered into a bunch of pieces. Be very careful with these! I really wanted a nice assortment of beer glasses for all types, but already one short.These glasses are a good value for the money, and I got exactly what was described. Some pros: very durable glassware, as described, variety of glasses for different styles of beer, packaging was perfect and they shipped without damage. Some cons: minor imperfections in the glass - most notably on the base of the stems, very large capacities which may be too big for single beer pours from cans or bottles, and a not exactly classic take on the styles these are meant to represent. Short story: if you want different glasses to enjoy your beer at home and are not a glassware snob, these will do the job and they will resist scratches and breakage. Longer story: these are clearly meant for high-volume restaurant and bar service and as such are kind of built like tanks. They do not have the gentleness of more upscale brands like Spiegelau. I'm happy I had the opportunity to try them as a sampler, because now I know I would not want a full set of any of these (maybe with exception of the pilsner glass). I will use them though, until I find finer examples of some of them at a price-point that I like. Note that the Craft Pub glass is akin to a Willi Becher glass, but larger. The English Pub glass is similar to a Nonic Pint. The Belgian Ale glass is not quite flared enough at the top to qualify as a true Tulip. And the Wheat Beer glass is more balloony than a traditional hefeweizen glass. Just putting this out there for those who are sticklers for tradition in such things. These are durable glasses and will wear well, and what you get is exactly what is described.Dishwasher safe, sturdy, and attractive.Only thing missing is a description of which glass is which, not just the list of glass types on box, but postcard or something in the box would be nice. Highly recommend.I can only assume that there is currently a price error issue happening with these glasses on Amazon Canada. The same set continues to sell on Amazon USA for 35-40 US dollars, and the price has never changed. At the 20 bucks Canadian price currently listed on Amazon Canada, a beer drinker would be insane to not purchase these. All 6 glasses have a thick base on the bottom, and have been created with care. The glass quality is excellent throughout. The added bonus is that this set allows for you to enjoy the experience of having an appropriate glass shape for 6 different styles of beer. This is a high quality set of glasses, and I highly recommend purchasing them.Well if you needed a drinking cup or two look no further! We are incredibly "hip" so we needed fancy cups dedicated to each type of our craft beer. Since I only ordered one set my partner and I have found ourselves fighting over who gets to have a cup and who drinks out of the improper cup or can like a peasant. Don't be foolish like me, order 2 sets so you don't have to fight over who is superior and deserves the drinking glass.I was looking for a new set of Pilsner glasses from Libbey, but that set of 4 seems to be hard to find and going for an egregious price. This set was too good a value to pass up. The entire set is quality thick glass, except for the Belgian Ale glass for whatever reason.Pros:☺ Value☺ VarietyCons:☹ None that I have noticed.Overall: If you're looking for a set of Beer glasses this is a great varied option... RecommendedWhen I ordered I was expecting very cheap ones. Did they send me wrong? cause these are amazing glasses man.I bought this to give to someone as a gift, but I can't give it like this. It came in a box that had no wording or name. The box doesn't say how it is dishwasher safe and just had the glasses stuffed into a plain, brown box.
