Our husband and wife founding team started TheraSpecs as a way to help address the issues that light had been causing them most of their lives. From that personal search, they built a company that today gives blue light protection to tens of thousands of people every year. Why do we love what we do? We love helping our customers enjoy the activities they love—from using the computer or watching a movie to being productive at work or spending time outdoors. It is their stories that inspire us every day. Next page
I very rarely write reviews, I felt compelled after one day of using these.Several weeks ago I fell and had a concussion. I have felt back to normal in all regards save for extreme sensitivity to fluorescent light. So every time I went into an office, a grocery store, the gym, all places that typically use overhead fluorescent lights, I was getting a splitting headache. Fluorescent light sensitivity is extremely common after a head injury and can persist for weeks and even months.I ordered these glasses and IMMEDIATELY felt relief once I put them on. And I wasn't even under fluorescent lights at the time. I didn't realize how hard my eyes were straining even under normal lighting. My eyes feel "relaxed" for the first time in weeks, and I was able to go to the store, gym, office, etc without the awful accompanying headache. These are a huge quality of life improvement, if you have issues with fluorescent lights I cannot recommend these enough. These have saved my life, the relief I get from them is great. The quality seems slightly cheap, and I worry they won't last long. As far as the migraines go, I think they have reduced mine drastically when working under the flourecent lights at work.I was skeptical at first. I suffer from daily headaches and also severe migraines. I had surgery to remove a brain tumor nearly two years ago. It doesn't totally stop headaches and migraines, but it sure cuts down on the intensity. Can’t recommend these enough. Also love this brand. My initial reaction to these out of the box was revulsion. These glasses look and feel like what you’d get for $20 from a street vendor. They absolutely are not worth the $120 they sell for here or the $160 I paid on their website (since Amazon deliveries are so slow rn). They are lightweight, yes, but in the same way that cheap plastic is lightweight, not how Ray Bans—made with metal frames in the winslow style—are lightweight. The plastic is shiny and cheap looking like any number of Chinese knock offs of better made products from Japan, S. Korea, N. America or Europe. These are medically-branded Chinese knock-offs of better glasses. If you have your own frames to send in, I can’t speak to the quality of the lenses, since I never wore mine due to Theraspecs’s return policy which deducts any incidental damage from the trial period from your return value (simply awful policy that doesn’t inspire confidence in quality). You may find they’re great for your migraines. But the lenses feel cheap and look ugly just like the frames.I’ve been disabled from migraines for the better part of a decade, so I’m willing to try just about anything to get my life back. But $120 (or $160) for this trash? No way.I work in an office and stare at my computer a majority of the day. Unfortunately the migraines are unrelated to starring at the computer (still get them on weekends when I'm not looking at computers). These glasses are super cute and help with my migraines at work. Makes it very manageable to stare at the computer with the lights off. My only complaint is that they are a little snug on my face. I guess my face is a little wider than the glasses, so I tried to bend them out more at the nose piece (gently as to not break them) and they won't budge. I'm afraid to try to force them to bend. They are a little snug across the temples, so if I wanted to wear over the ear headphones, it is a no go.I've had chronic headaches my entire life. Every single day, at low-medium intensity. Now I'm convinced I have photophobia, because these have helped my light sensitivity and headaches SO MUCH. I can't even believe it. Clear blue-light blockers suck, FL-41 for the win. I love these glasses. I no longer feel the need to take 4+ advils a day. I wear these all the time. Despite appearances, they hardly obstruct colors. Everything just looks like you're seeing it during a pretty sunset. FAN-TASTIC! Thank-you TheraSpecs.
