First, I ordered the 2.5 magnification. The seller told me that the progression was " For a +2.50-bottom portion of the lens, the middle lens strength is +1.75 and upper lens strength is +1.00." That pretty much matches my prescription glasses which are 2.00, 1.50 and .75.However, the tag on them stated " reading-2.5, computer-slightly less and across desk 50% power" so more like 2.5, 2.0 and 1.25. I think the tag is more accurate as with a 1.00 I should be able to see more distance clarity but can't. They are prefect for reading, looking at the computer screen and glancing up at the tv......that is really all they promise so that is accurate. My distances are, reading 18"-20", computer screen-31" and tv 12'. That's why 5 stars. Once you figure out where/how to look they are good. If you are needing this type of glasses, I can recommend them. If you want more not so much.The big cavate is of course if you don't need them at 2.5 or even 2.00, the magnification difference is much less and on 1:00's it is zero on top from what I read. If you just need a light magnification for driving these might work at a 1.5 or less.The glasses are light weight comfortable and fit me very well. No nose slippage so far and I wear them daily.The bottom line is they do what they say they will, but don't expect anything more.They are really good progressives, easy to adjust to. Even better than a pair of $170 Caddis progressives I purchased.I use these for computer use.Could not use upper portion was magnifying I needed no magnifying on upper portionThese are great progressive readers. They are a definite step up from "single power" readers. They outperform my prescription glasses. Great value, I'll definitely be getting more when these need replacing.The lenses are clear, no aberrations, and viewed colors are accurate. I am able to read multiple computer screens sitting next to each other without having to turn my head, I just look at what I am reading using only my eyes (not turning my head), and the text is perfectly in focus throughout the width of the lens. The frame is wider than most, which is perfect for me. The size marked on the earpiece is: 60-14-123. A search engine can tell you how to interpret "frame size numbers".As you can see in the photo, the frame shape is similar to an "aviator teardrop" shape. The lens height is about 48mm at the tallest point. The hinge is a spring hinge. The bridge has two bars connecting the lenses, resulting in a stronger bridge to resist everyday wear and tear.The temples ("ear pieces"), for my head (and ear) size, could be just a touch longer, but these work just fine by straightening the temple tips just a little bit, adjusting exactly like your eye doctor adjusts a frame for you.Highly recommended.Loved everything about themThe description made me think these would be an upgrade to the readers I normally buy. But they aren't. These glasses are identical to the ones I usually buy online elsewhere for about 2/3rds of the cost. The only difference is these come with a clamshell case. I won't be buying these again here.Very stylish and decent quality. But lenses are true progressive. Top of lense isn’t clear of magnificationGran calidad de armazón y graduación.
